Our focus in 2023 will be more short-form video content. I don’t know that every car dealership should be on TikTok but we will be trying this format for our customers moving forward in certain areas.

I totally agree with you both @matt.costanzo @charlotte.plaster ! I used to work with dealerships a few years back and I think the key was finding a “champion” who the audience liked to engage with and was a friendly face for those shorter videos. Sounds like you are definitely on the right path!!!

social media is our fastest growing platform by far, and we are continuing to expand our instagram presence with reels and YT shorts

I am looking forward to engaging more on social media; utilizing tools like short videos and more content on platforms to get customers more active.

The article brought up an interesting take, that brands should have a “BeReal representative”. I personally can’t imagine adding a brand on BeReal - it is one of the few social media apps that is authentic, and I wouldn’t want to saturate my own feed with ads or ad-like content. Interested in what others have to say!

Your Manic Monday Trivia sounds intriguing! Can you share more about that?

We love using boomerangs on IG! We do not use TicTok but it’s a company preference. We would like to incorporate more videos in 2023!

We have continued to monitor our social and personally I have focused on the production of short videos to help improve on that. I think just being consistent and in the know will help. We have not dived too much into Tik Tok yet but I guess it is time. By the time I get that down, they will have another new platform so it is a neverending cycle that isn’t going to slow down for anyone.

We are trying to get more traffic to our website so every week, we will post a trivia question on our Facebook page that will direct our viewers to a specific page on our website. They then will send a fb message with the correct answer and their name gets thrown in the pot for a chance to win a $50 gift card to a local business. So, not only are we promoting our website and educating our customers, but we are also supporting our local business community.

Charlotte, what a brilliant idea! Is it driving your engagement numbers up for social media?
Do you sponsor the post weekly?

It so different depending on what part of the country you live in. For us in the upper part of Vermont things seem to trend between 16 to 20 months behind alot of the country so we are still focusing alot on Social media mainly FB and getting a ton of traffic, leads and sales from it.
